Jennifer Langille , B.A. (Hons), LL.B.Litigation Lawyer
Jennifer Langille was born and raised in the little community of Caribou, located in rural Pictou County. Jennifer attended West Pictou, keeping herself busy outside of school as a longtime member of the Heatherbell Girls Pipes and Drums. After graduating from West Pictou in 2001, she spent a year studying at Saint Mary’s University before attending Saint Francis Xavier University. She graduated from St. F.X. in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts (First Class Honours) in Political Science and Sociology. Jennifer then attended Dalhousie Law School, during which time she juggled a part-time position as a Caseload Planner for the Victorian Order of Nurses. She also spent a semester at the Dalhousie Legal Aid Clinic. Jennifer graduated with her LL.B. in 2008. |
Jamie MacGillivrayManaging LawyerJamie MacGillivray was admitted to the Nova Scotia Bar in 1994. He has a Bachelor of Arts from Dalhousie University and a Bachelor of Law from the University of New Brunswick. Jamie has exclusively practiced personal injury and insurance law since 1999. He is an active member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association, the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association, and the Canadian Environmental Law Association. In 2009 Jamie was named by his peers as a Leading Practitioner in the field of personal injury litigation by Lexpert, he was the youngest lawyer in Canada to receive this award. Jamie has an interest in using litigation to help fight industry practices that are destructive to the environment, and to provide a check and balance against the increasing power of multi-national corporations. Jamie believes that this is what Plaintiff personal injury law is really about. Jamie was born in 1969 in Pictou County where he now resides with his wife Lisa and their three children, Zoe, Maya, and Gage. |
Janus SiebritsLitigation Lawyer
Janus Siebrits was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2006 after being accredited by the National Committee on Accreditation (Federation of Canadian Law Societies) as having an equivalent Canadian Law degree in 2005. Prior to moving to Canada in 2003; Janus received his LLB degree from the University of South Africa before becoming a member of the Western Cape Provincial Bar in South Africa in 2003. Janus’ practice background includes commercial civil litigation, immigration and refugee law and personal injury and insurance litigation. Since 2006, Janus has been exclusively engaged in personal injury and insurance litigation with a focus on long-term disability claims and motor vehicle accident litigation. Janus has appeared regularly before Federal Canada Pension Plan Disability Tribunals (CPP), the Supreme Court of Nova Scotia and the Nova Scotia Court of Appeal. Janus is a member of the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association and the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association. |
